About

Louvre Forum is a bold yet refined architectural intervention that reimagines the public realm at the heart of Paris. Designed as an open-air amphitheatre, this new civic space introduces a series of terraced limestone steps and platforms, seamlessly integrating with the Louvres historic architecture while offering a dynamic setting for cultural engagement, public discourse, and performance.

Drawing inspiration from classical forums and grand civic spaces, the design serves as a threshold between the museum and the city, inviting visitors to gather, observe, and participate. Its carefully proportioned stepped structure provides flexible seating and circulation, accommodating everything from everyday social interactions to major cultural events, fashion shows, and live performances. Crafted from pale limestone, the materiality of Louvre Forum echoes the timeless elegance of the museums façade, creating a monumental yet inviting presence. The project respects the Louvres architectural symmetry and heritage, enhancing rather than competing with its surroundings. At once a cultural stage, a gathering space, and a platform for creative expression, Louvre Forum transforms the museums exterior into a living, evolving civic landmark. It offers Parisians and visitors alike a place to pause, engage, and connectwhere the historic and the contemporary merge in the heart of the city.
